Silene Bricet is an acupuncturist and massage therapist.
Originally from France, she has always been involved in alternative medicine and oriental philosophy as her mother has been a qi qong instructor for 20 years.
Silene has a Bsc (HONS) degree from the London College of Traditional Acupuncture.
Once graduated, she gained experience for a year as an apprentice of Liana Duan, a Chinese medicine doctor.
She also worked for 16 months at the Gateway clinic, a NHS-funded
clinic that provides acupuncture to residents in Lambeth. The clinic is run by highly experienced practitioners, and is widely recognised for its pioneering work in HIV.
Silene now runs the Alternative Care since 2007 and practice in Southfields and Streatham.
As a member of the British Acupuncture Council, she observes a strict
code of practice which lays down stringent standards of hygiene and
sterilization. These procedures have been approved by the Department
of Health.
